What is your name, age and general location?
Shaun Hammond , 39 , central Massachusetts
What is your email address?
Shammondtwc@gmail.com ( can get ahold of me pretty much 24/7 on google chat with that account )
Which is your favourite real life team? How did you end up following them?
Red Sox, lives in ma my entire life and went to school 2 miles from Fenway
How did you find this league?
I am in a league with TJ that is very similar , he’s mentioned this league many times In our chat
Please give a brief overview of your fantasy baseball experience. How many other leagues are you currently a member of, and what format are they (ie H2H, roto, redraft, keeper, auction etc)?
How often will you be available to be contacted by fellow owners in this league?
I’ve been doing fantasy baseball since 2002. Was in a money yearly redraft with friends for 9 years. For the last 7 years I have been in a VERY similar franchise league. There are some differences such as FYPD and resigning rules are different . For the first five years I took a perennial loser and made the playoffs five straight years in a row, two byes , one best record and two World Series wins ( 28 team league ) I can be instantly contacted every day through google chat. I usually check my email at least once a day.
This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be content with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league?
Right now I am in the middle of a rebuild with my team in my other franchise league. This is my second year of a three year rebuild. Depleting my farm and some bad free agency signing in 2017 coupled with having a lot of my players hitting free agency in 2019 , I decided to bite the bullet. I have turned my farm into a border line top 5 from absolutely nothing. I’m easy to deal with and trade with. I don’t haggle, I usually just look for a reasonable value for what I’m looking for and if the person can meet that it’s a deal. Most trades I make are done in 30 minutes ( I’m a huge google chat guy but pms work too )
