Welcome. Please introduce yourself and answer the following questions:
1. What is your name? Luis 2. What is your age? 22 3. What is your general location? Sacramento, California
4. What is your preferred team? Blue Jays 5. How did you find this league? Reddit 6. What is your e-mail address? dospesos2013@gmail.com
7. What experience do you have playing fantasy baseball? H2H leagues 8. Have you had a chance to review the rules? Yes I have 9. How often will you be available to be contacted by fellow owners in this league? Daily 10. What kind of team would you be willing to take? (One that can compete immediately, soon, or a long term project?)
Either, I try to be competitive while building for the future
11. This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be content with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league?
Yeah 12. Is there any other information you think we as a league should know in order to best determine your eligibility?
Cubs fan so i've gotten accustomed to the whole build for the future thing Theo Epstein 13. Please post links to any other leagues you participate in. None at the moment, looking for dynasty leagues though

Hey Luis,
Thanks for checking us out. It's a good time to be a Cubs fan! We're still trying to fill the league for the inaugural season.
Could I get your help with questions 7 and 11? - How long have you played fantasy baseball? (There's no wrong answer, but this league requires a little more attention than most introductory leagues.) - Regarding question 11, as an H2H league, we require teams to stay active throughout the season even if they aren't in contention. Would that be something you could handle?
We'd love to have you here. It's a very fun format. We'll be glad to help with any questions too.
Thanks, Adam (Astros)

Played Fantasy Baseball for about 7 years now, on MLB.com leagues.
I'm fine with being active all season even without being in contention, i usually bookmark my leagues and visit them daily. I think I could handle that aspect of it.

Thank you for that information. For the record, you've been playing longer than I have. Would you mind also creating a new roster page for the Toronto Blue Jays before we finalize the application? (The previous roster can be copied.) Thanks.

Looks good. Welcome aboard. You will be responsible for keeping your roster reasonably up to date. You may protect any player who is not owned elsewhere in this league and is under contract with the Blue Jays organization with less than 6 years of service time by listing the specific transaction under "Roster transactions". As something that has been recently added, we are asking all new owners to protect or unprotect at least one player before trading is allowed. (This shows the league that you understand the rules and processes involved in being a GM). While you may discuss trade ideas with other teams, trading is not allowed until 7 days after the establishment of a trade block. It is strongly advised that during this week new owners do not agree to any deals, but instead use this time to field offers, engage in trade discussion and aclimatise to the nuiances of the league. Read more: mlbbaseballleague.proboards.com/thread/636/league-faqs-new-owner#ixzz3uLffo2NFRegarding free agency, one of the provisions that was made on behalf of the unowned teams was to add native free agents as each position opens up. The Blue Jays therefore have already been assigned several FA catchers. This is a one-time provision to help unowned teams until the league is filled. As a result, it may be necessary to wait until Monday before participating in free agency. I'll get back in touch about this question as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience. Again, welcome! We're glad to have you here.

Since the Blue Jays were not assigned anyone this week, you are free to participate in free agency if you choose. (The J.A. Happ bid is considered valid.) Any players listed under "Catchers" or "Starting Pitchers Round 1" is available for bid.
If you have any questions, we'll be glad to help.

I suppose we should have mentioned this as well, Luis. Russell Martin and Dioner Navarro were automatically assigned to the Blue Jays.
If (for any reason) you wish to drop these players, you may do so within 7 days.
