What is your name, age and general location?
Tim Rose, 51, southwest Florida
What is your email address?
esortm@gmail.com
Which is your favorite real life team? How did you end up following them?
How did you find this league?
Growing up, it was the Atlanta Braves (Dale Murphy, John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, Ron Gant, Mark Lemke, Steve Avery, Terry Pendleton, Sid Bream and Jeff Blauser).
But, living in Florida, I turned my allegiance to the Tampa Bay Rays when they began in 1998.
I found out about this league from my son, Matthew Rose (Dodgers GM) after he joined.
Please give a brief overview of your fantasy baseball experience. How many other leagues are you currently a member of, and what format are they (ie H2H, roto, redraft, keeper, auction etc)?
How often will you be available to be contacted by fellow owners in this league?
I have been playing fantasy baseball since 2004 on ESPN and Yahoo. I have been in a Yahoo keepers league (12 team - H2H) for the past 4 years, finishing 2nd, 8th, 3rd and 1st.
I have a 40 hour a week job and coach high school baseball from February to May, thus most communications will need to at night. But that is not to say that I can’t read and answer text messages and/or email during the day.
This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be content with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league?
Is there any other information you think we as a league should know in order to best determine your eligibility?
Please post links to any other leagues you participate in.
Rebuilding a team is not a problem. Your team can only be as good as the work that is put into it. Being in the competition is always fun, but building a team from middle of the pack (or bottom) to overtake the leaders provides just as much satisfaction, if not more.
I have always competed to the best of my ability within the fantasy platform and would do the same here.
