Turner dropped on Fantrax.
Trea Turner is a 5 category stud, the type of guy I'm always trying to acquire, and who I traded for in my first big deal a few years back here in my first go round. It's painful to move him, but I'm looking to change things up a bit. First off, CJ Abrams 2nd half of running wild made me a believer and, assuming I don't deal him as well, I'm quite confident in him being a huge contributor and these guys are a bit redundant at SS. While I could afford to keep them both this year, it was going to be hard to do so going forward while filling out the rest of the lineup. Second, Muncy covers a position of great need for me and is an elite power bat whose low BA I can accommodate. His contract is very much in line w/ other 3B types and I'd be happy rolling him out the next couple years. Third, I've dealt out prospects and controllable years like candy on Halloween over the last year and a half and I wanted to add some controllable talent back onto the team. Dunno what Rocchio's strikeout laden cup of coffee was about, but I see him as an everyday guy who will contribute for a long time. White is a first round arm talent that I hope to have the patience to hold onto and Mazur has great success as a pro. I see him as a fast moving, near ready, back-end of rotation contributor.
Great working this out w/ you, Dan. Best of luck this year.
