1. What is your name? Drew 2. What is your age? 30 3. What is your general location? Minneapolis, MN 4. What is your preferred team? Phillies. I'm a Tigers fan by heritage, but the Phillies seem like a fun team to run given their farm system at the moment 5. How did you find this league? Post on minorleagueball.com 6. What is your e-mail address? arfullenkamp@gmail.com 7. What experience do you have playing fantasy baseball? Played fantasy baseball for years, played in several 30-team dynasty leagues over the years. Love the strategy inherent in the deep team, contract based leagues I've participated in over the years. 8. How often will you be available to be contacted by fellow owners in this league? I'll check in and respond daily for sure, and much more frequently usually. 9. What kind of team would you be willing to take? In for a rebuilding process or one ready to compete today. I like the strategy inherent in building the long-run, but pushing the chips to the middle and going for it is a rush too! 10. This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be content with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league? In for whichever type of team - I'm signing up for the Phillies knowing full well there will be some rebuilding time built into the process, and enjoy the long road. 11. Is there any other information you think we as a league should know in order to best determine your eligibility? Not really? 12. Please post links to any other leagues you participate in: link

Welcome Drew.
Thanks for signing up. The Phillies are yours. Since the Tigers are still available, please be sure that this is the team you want for the long run.
Please also feel free to create a roster page and trade block. Trading is allowed 7 days after a trade block is established. If you have any questions, we'll be glad to help.
We're glad to have you here.

Thanks for the welcome Adam - while I am a Tigers fan...I note that the prospect acquisition in the league is based on who the real-life team brings onboard and while the manner of talent acquisition the Tigers use (mostly draft low-ceiling college players who'll contribute soon, trade off the few homegrown players for MLB contributors) has worked for them, it didn't seem ideal for the confines of this league . Both teams have new GMs, so it's a bit of a crapshoot, but the Phillies seem like an interesting challenge.

Welcome, from anther Tigers fan...
I was torn, I wanted to manage them, just for that reason, but logically and given the state of their system, just didn't make sense...
Interested to see how they handle this off season... I don't anticipate they throw around the money they claim they will in SP,or LF... To me, bringing back Ausmus was basically saying they were taking a step back, not truly going for it and that being the case, no reason to pay two managers while he's still under contract... Hopefully I'm wrong...

Hey hey! Good to see ya, and totally agree - I was torn between wanting to "fix" the Tigers and not necessarily wanting to dig out of the hole they're in (especially since they don't get to keep Miguel or Kinsler).
It's going to be an odd offseason for the Tigers. Logically they should be getting close to tearing it down and starting again, but there's no way Illitch will stand for that. In a dream world they find a way to turn a MLB asset into several assets (i.e. the Granderson trade), but that's probably pinning too much on Avila. Trading for K-Rod was an interesting start to the hot stove season for sure.

Man... your 2015 champion in that league you linked was 12-10 in the regular season? I bet that left a sour taste with a lot of owners..
But I guess that's what playoff leagues are all about.
Welcome aboard!

Holy schnikes... I just noticed your runner-up was 12-10 as well. I don't remember ever seeing a playoff league where the #8 and #7 seeds squared off in the championship round. Talk about peaking at the right time!

Okay... sorry I just have to... Your league champion was 1-7 after 8 weeks? I'm saving your league link to show every owner in every league I am in why you shouldn't give up just because you had a rough start to the season. That's seriously incredible. Ok, I am done geeking out now about this. Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome TJ Ha - yeah that league was a weird situation this year. Bad injury luck and newfound parenthood struck down a few mid season frontrunners this year and allowed for the miracle run. Not necessarily the best example league, but hey it's interesting! An inspirational tale to be sure .

I'm in a little Yahoo, H2H keeper league, 6 teams make playoffs... This is seventh season, and at least one, if not more final playoff spots have been determined on the final day of regular season... In fact, the Cubs owner in this league plays in it too, he missed the playoffs one year because Josh Lindblom got a RAPP in the Sunday night game, and that knocked him out... That said, three years in a row at one point, the winner came from the 6th seed... Never understand the teams that can't wait to get to June, so they can "sell"...
