Medium Questions:
1. What experience do you have playing fantasy baseball?
I have played on and off for 10 years, since high school. I have played highly competitively the last 2 years.
2. How often will you be available to be contacted by fellow owners in this league?
Anytime.
3. What kind of team would you be willing to take? (One that can compete immediately, soon, or a long term project?)
I like long term projects.
Longer questions:
1. This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be ok with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league?
Absolutely. I would prefer not to inherit a glut of talent. I would like to take a team I need to build - that's why i want the Marlins. I also love the idea of this league and want to play with a group of owners that are as committed to making moves, studying rosters, using sabermetrics, discussing trades, and doing everything that a GM would do.
2. Is there any other information you think we as a league should know in order to best determine your eligibility?
I am in 1 other long term keeper league right now. Here's the link: baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/16645
I am Kearny Athletic Club in that league. I just took over the worst team in the league (20th out of 20 last year). Completely turned over the roster this year, only 2 of the original 30 are left with a lot of great young players. I made 96 roster changes since taking over in March. I would bring that same kind of dedication and friendly passion for the sport to this league.
