Early division leaders: - Orioles - Twins - Rangers - Nationals - Cardinals - Padres
Notes: - No teams achieved a 10-0 win this week. - In what was a top-of-the-standings clash in the ALC, the Twins emerged victorious against the Guardians. The 7-1-2 victory gives the Twins a 6 game cushion in what could be one of the more competitive divisions of the season. - Speaking of competitive divisions, all five teams in the NLC remain separated by 10 games or fewer. The Rangers are the only division leader with a 10 game or greater lead. - The unfancied Nationals put up a strong showing against the fast-starting Padres, defeating them 7-2-1. They now lead the NLE by 2 from the Braves. Despite the loss, the Padres still lead the NLW. - Easy come, easy go - since leading the ALE after two weeks, the Yankees have since gone 1-19-0 and find themselves at the foot of the division. - Elly's 8 SB this week would have single-handedly beaten all but three other teams in the category. - Four teams posted a sub-1.000 WHIP, with another landing on 1.000 on the nose. - All teams met the AB and IP minimums for scoring, although the Mets pushed it close with only 10.2 IP.
Records achieved this week: - Stolen bases: Nationals (14) took 2nd, and knocked the 7-way tie for what was 5th out of the record books

That 7-way tie now leaving the record books really emphasises the change of SB landscape since the stepoff/pickoff rule changes: 5. 12 - 2017 Braves - period 5 5. 12 - 2023 Rangers - period 9 5. 12 - 2023 Brewers - period 12 5. 12 - 2023 Nationals - period 14 5. 12 - 2023 Brewers - period 16 5. 12 - 2024 Brewers - period 2 5. 12 - 2024 Nationals - period 3
