Do we trust the assigned fantrax positions now? Or when season starts? Or never lol. E.g. Springer has CF and RF right now, but I don't trust the CF to last as he didn't get 10 appearances there in 2023 (either way it's fine, just trying to set expectations here)

If it’s a position without requisite appearances, it’s a Fantrax default, and they can take it away at their whim. For example sometime last month, multiple weeks after season finished, Junior Caminero showed as SS and 3B for 2024, and then randomly the SS got removed.

I'm in a similar boat trying to decide if Jazz actually keeps 2nd. He shouldn't, but it's still there lol

My advice would be to not trust any un-earned positional eligibility that is currently showing. I do not know when the deadline might be for rogue positional eligibility to be removed by Fantrax - or even if there is one - but I certainly wouldn't start banking on any un-earned position until much much closer to opening day. These might have been updated recently, I noticed some of my players have lost position eligibility.

It's getting late in the day here and I've not seen any subsequent changes to positions which shouldn't be there, so I've contacted Proboards support to ask whether we can expect any changes or if these are now set.

The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is they have guys still with blue flags (and some cases wrong teams) who signed somewhere several months ago. I wrote to them other day and they claimed they’d be updated soon. I’m still waiting.
Point being - I am not trusting them. For positions I’d depend on your own math.

To be honest, I still don't understand why we accept this level of uncertainty. There's nothing in the rule book to say that we can or can't repeat votes which have previously taken place, but I wonder if there might be more support to revisit this considering that come next offseason it will be 5 years since the last vote on this topic. |

Proboards support report that there will be no further changes to positional eligibility before opening day.
I gave several examples of erroneous eligibilities, and they said that for these to be removed it would be necessary to remove Fantrax default positions.
