Nats accept. Taking a bit of a risk here since, as Bill pointed out, Alvarez seems to have a much higher ceiling. But I have been keeping tabs on Dunn for a few months since Keith Law mentioned him somewhere and the Brewers move today to add him in advance of the rule V draft suggests that they have a plan for him. 2B and 3B are both pretty open for ABs in MIL and Dunn is a L/R bat that can handle either (as well as corner OF) and he mashes RH pitching. I am hoping that the missed Covid year and subsequent hamstring injury he suffered were what dimmed his development path prior to this year and that the steps forward are more indicitive of his true ability. Most people seem to think that Alvarez will be pushed to 3B (where my roster is quite deep talent wise) while Dunn should be pretty good at 2B where I am thinner and Ddunn has a real chance to be up in the bigs this year while Iggy is going to be 2-3 years away. So, for the positional depth and relative position to MLB I will sacrifice some upside. Thanks for making it easy Bill.

Mibble imitating real life. It’s a whirlwind day for Oliver Dunn in both places.
