Wild Card Week results and records
Congratulations to the Rays, Royals, Marlins and Braves for negotiating their ways through wild card week.
Commiserations to the Astros, Guardians, Giants and Cardinals for the end of excellent seasons. There's always next year!
All four Wild Card matchups went to the higher seed, although the Royals needed to make use of homefield advantage to get past the Guardians.
Tampa travels to Baltimore, as these ALE rivals meet for the third time this season. The other AL matchup sees KC travel to Texas.
In the NL, the top seed and #1 overall Rockies host the Marlins. The #2 overall Brewers host the Braves.
Good luck to all.
The following matchup records were set (7 day playoff matchup records):
Stolen bases: Guardians (7) joined what is now a 3-way tie for 3rd WHIP: Rays (0.920) took 4th

Congrats to the advancing teams!
Rays easily deserved to win our matchup, but 1-8-1 is embarrassing. Well done Mike! It was a fun week.
I’ll enjoy scoreboard watching the rest of the way. Have fun!

Just perfect timing for my team to completely fall apart (even more) and all of my best players to be injured. Eric better win to stem the tide of my disappointment.

Divisional series update:
#1 overall COL lead MIA 7-2-1. No categories look out of sight in either direction, so all is still to play for here.
#2 overall MIL currently sit tied 4-4-2 with ATL. Both offenses are doing well whilst both pitching staffs are struggling - any of the 10 categories could end up in favour of either team.
I'm sure that top AL seed BAL were only leading in one category at some point yesterday when I looked, yet today they lead TB 5-4-1. Tampa's pitching ratios look very solid and they have a great 48K from 32.1IP, but they trail in both W and SVH. Hitting categories are a toss-up.
#2 AL seed TEX lead KC 8-2-0, but this too is far from a landslide. Only 1R, 1HR and 2RBI separate those individual categories, but the Royals pitching ratios and 0W will likely need some remedying to overturn those categories.
All four matchups are still very much alive. Good luck to everyone.
