Notes:
- One team achieved a 10-0-0 win this week. Congrats to the Braves for whitewashing the Mets. In a week of predominantly one-sided matchups, five teams achieved 9 category wins and a further three teams achieved 8 category wins.
- No division leads changed hands this week. Two division titles are up for grabs in our final week of the regular season.
- The Reds retain the NL WC3 spot by the most slender of margins. They hold the same Win% as the Cardinals, but currently lead them by virtue of the category wins tiebreaker.
- The Brewers have eeked into a 0.5 game lead over the Rockies for the #1 overall spot. Both teams have now clinched a bye through the first round of the playoffs.
- Barring something truly unthinkable in the final week, the NL representative will have homefield advantage in the World Series if either of the Brewers or Rockies make it to the big one.
- If the two teams end tied on identical W-L-T records, the Rockies would win the tiebreaker by virtue of having the higher Win% within their own Division (rule 2.6.4).
- After a second tough showing in a row, the Marlins are now only two games ahead of the Braves for the lead in the NLE. These two teams meet this week to fight it out for the divisional title.
- A modest week for the teams vying for NL WC3 contention saw three additional teams pull to within 10 games of the final NL playoff spot. The Cardinals and Padres may be the the teams to watch as they face the lowly A's and Dodgers respectively. The Reds look to have a tougher task against the Pirates.
- Not a record, but a hat-tip to the Braves for posting a whopping .350 BA across 206 ABs this week. #Hot.
- Fewest wins isn't a negative record category we record, but if it were I imagine that the Rangers achieving 0 wins from 67.2 innings pitched may be in the top 5 if we did.
- All teams met the AB and IP minimums for scoring. I think we could be on for a clean-sweep across the whole season?
