Week 10 notes and records
Division leaders: - Rays - Royals - Rangers - Marlins - Brewers - Rockies
Wild Card leaders: - Orioles - Jays - Astros - Braves - Pirates - Reds / Cardinals
Notes: - No teams achieved a 10-0 win this week. - For the third week in a row, the Orioles and Rays swapped between the ALE lead and the AL WC1 spot. If these teams remain close, their matchup in the last week of the regular season could be a highlight of the end of the season. - The Astros and Jays swapped WC positions, with the Astros now in AL WC2 and the Jays down to AL WC3. The Guardians are now the next-closest team, lurking only half a game behind the Jays. - The Reds joined the Cardinals in a tie for the NL WC3 spot, but currently hold the tie-breaker. - The NL (and overall) leading Brewers faced the previously AL leading Rangers this week, destroying them 8-1-1. If the competition wasn't already afraid, they probably should be now after this assertion of crushing dominance. - The three NL divisional leaders are pulling away from the chasing pack, with 10 games currently between the 'lowest' divisional leader and the NL WC1. - Only 10 games cover the six current AL playoff teams AND the Guardians who are currently on the outside looking in. At least one of these teams will not make the playoffs. - All teams met the AB and IP minimums for scoring.
