Week 5 notes and records
Division leaders: - Orioles - Royals - Rangers - Braves - Brewers - Rockies
Wild Card leaders: - Angels - Rays - Astros - White Sox - Marlins - Pirates - Mets
Notes: - No teams achieved a 10-0 win this week, with the closest being the Angels managing a 9-1-0 victory over the last place A's. - The Braves took the lead in the NL East from the Marlins. - The Rays slipped into AL WC2, knocking the Astros down to WC3 and the White Sox to the outside looking in. The (ownerless?) Mets snuck into NL WC3, displacing the Giants by half a game. - As pointed out by TJ, after 5 weeks only 10 teams have a 'winning' record. Twenty teams currently sit with a sub-.500 record. - The Rockies have joined the Brewers in boasting a 10+ game lead in their division. The only division lead currently within 5 games is in the NL East. - Despite pitching 104.2 innings on way to the third highest ever strikeout tally, the Reds only achieved two wins this week. - All teams met the AB and IP minimums for scoring.
Records: Ks: CIN (105) joined a tie for 3rd
