Please remind me - is there a mechanism to drop players who are under contract (i.e. NOT 1st-6th players)? I can't find any verbiage in the league constitution, or anywhere else for that matter.
Thanks!

I've had a full day celebrating a friend's birthday, but section vii of the rules covers this.
If you have any specific questions then ask them here and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Thanks for the redirect, but there isn't any discussion about what to do with players who are under a FA contract.
My example is Corey Kluber ($4.1, 2023+). I'd like to drop/waive him but I don't know what the penalty is to do so.
Thanks.

Can't do it. You'd have to trade him. Fa deals are guaranteed contracts unless they go oversees or are subject to our recent rule update regarding players charged with a crime and facing significant real life suspension

This is why you see salary dump trades here bc those guys cannot be unprotected like an arb player
