Week 3 notes and records
Early division leaders: - Orioles - Royals - Rangers - Marlins - Brewers - Rockies
Notes: - No teams achieved a 10-0 win this week, with the closest being the Astros managing a 9-0-1 victory over the (soon to be Las Vegas?) A's. - The Royals took the lead in the AL Central, with the Tigers and White Sox also passing the Guardians who dropped from 1st to 4th. This was the only divisional lead change this week. - After only three matchups the Brewers have already stretched out a double digit lead, currently sitting 10.5 games ahead of both the Cubs and the Pirates. - Not quite a record - with such a long league history it takes a really exceptional performance to achieve that feat - but congrats to the Cubs for hitting 17 bombs this week, only one shy of joining the leaderboard. - An honourable mention also to the pitching staff of the Red Sox, who across 24.2 innings scored a 0.73 ERA and 0.770 WHIP. - Boston's aforementioned excellent pitching line somehow only combined for 2 wins and 1 savehold. Conversely, the Diamondbacks achieved 2 wins and 4 saveholds whilst pitching to a 8.26 ERA and 1.679 WHIP. Baseball. - All teams met the AB and IP minimums for scoring.
Records: (none this week)
