With a lot of luck, I could be a "contenda"! ...maybe in 2025-2027. Unfortunately, home team development will be in the hands of the real Rockies. C'est la vie. All that said, I have some significant contracts expiring in 2023-2024. Some of you have a shorter horizon to contention...or you are trying to extend your run for another year...and could use one or two of my expiring contracts. Come at me with deals that would set me up to be better in 2025-2027, without crippling the team next year.
On the block: SS Xander Bogaerts (Red Sox) $13.3 2024 RF Nick Castellanos (Reds) $6.3 2023 UT J.D. Martinez (Red Sox) $9.7 2023 Clayton Kershaw (Dodgers) $9.1 2024 Zach Wheeler (Phillies) $8.2 2023
I wish I could be more specific about what positions I'm seeking; but as I see it, I need strong potential in every category. A good guide might be to give me something serviceable for next year in the same category of player that I'm trading away + something with significantly greater potential in the 3-5 year range.
If you've had your eye on one of my player's who is not on this list, don't be shy. Ask. I'll not be offended.

Adding LF,RF Trevor Larnach (Twins) $1.0 3rd to the list of "suspects," uh, I mean "prospects."
The reasoning here is that someone expressed interest and I'm curious what the perceived value may be. I am heavier in OF than MI, so I'm curious to see what might result from trying to flip either Castellanos or Larnach for SS or 2B help.

Adding the following to the block, since folks have been asking about their availability:
RP Phil Maton (Astros) $1.0 6th RP Ryne Stanek (Astros) $3.2 6th RHP Forrest Whitley (Astros) $0.3 1st 2B Connor Norby (Orioles) $0.3 1st SS Adael Amador (Rockies) $0.3 1st
NOTE: I have changed direction completely in terms of what I am seeking in return. In the simplest terms, I want to trade bats for arms, preferrably veterans for prospects. So, just to analyze the list in this latest post, the reason Maton and Stanek are on the block is because they are headed to FA next year, well before the window that I'm targeting. In return for them, I will need similar (potential) value pitchers arriving in the bigs in the next season or so, with controllable contracts for the duration of the window that I'm targeting. Given this reasoning, it makes no sense to trade Whitley. (I cannot imagine being persuaded today to part with him, but I'm willing to entertain and respond to offers. I'm not saying there aren't better prospects, just that no one is likely to offer one in exchange for Whitley's somewhat diminished outlook.) Norby and Amador are big bat prospects that fit my window for competing, so I'm looking for similarly big arm prospects in return, from players who will arrive at the show soon. Hope that helps to clarify! I'll be replying to specific inquiries over the next few days and hope to get my first trade on the books and approved in the next few weeks!

Heads up. I'm taking offers for Barrero. I'll redo this trade block completely soon because it is out of date already, but didn't want to leave anyone out of the conversation if interested.
