Should acquisition evidence be mandatory in trade posts?

This post is a placeholder for a vote at the end of the 2022 season.


This is a rule change proposal requiring either:
a) a two-thirds majority of the vote when a minimum of 10 votes are received, or
b) 16 or more votes in favour of the change
to be written into the rulebook at the agreed time.

If accepted, this rule change would come into effect immediately.




Some owners have begun adding links to show how each player involved in a trade was acquired. This is very helpful to TC when it comes to assessing trades.


The proposal is to add the following into the rule book within the existing rule 4.2.1:

(links to URLs identifying the transaction/thread where each player was acquired)


And also add the following into the rule book within the existing rule 4.2.2:

Any player included in a posted trade must be accompanied by a URL link identifying the transaction/thread where they were acquired.

Finishing with a 11-10 vote in favour of adding mandatory player acquisition links to trade posts, this vote has failed to reach the necessary two-thirds majority.
Therefore, no changes will be made to the rules.

Please note - regardless of the result of this vote, TC still very much appreciate the inclusion of player acquisition links when trades are posted.
