This is a league decision requiring: A majority of the vote from those responding to the poll will decide what option is put to vote here: mlbbaseballleague.proboards.com/thread/5857/amend-player-arb-salary-calculation. This vote is two stage: Stage one picks the league's preferred option on how to deal with arb salaries for 2-way players Stage two takes the preferred option from stage one, and votes on whether to accept it into the rule book or not The proposed rule changes are intended to make the arb salaries of two-way players more fair. This topic was discussed here: mlbbaseballleague.proboards.com/thread/5660/espn-player-raterTwo-way players have the potential to create positive player rater value through both hitting and pitching. On occasion, this can happen in the same game. Fantrax does not offer any facility for the team owning the two-way player to benefit from both aspects of this value simultaneously, so the price/salary goes up whilst the owner has no way to benefit from the performance that is responsible for it. Option 1 is to take the higher of the PR scores as a hitter or a pitcher, and simply ignore the 'secondary' skill/value. Option 2 is to take 100% of the higher of the PR scores as a hitter or a pitcher, and add this to 75% of their PR score for their 'secondary' skill/value. This value would then be used to calculate the arb salaries for the 2-way player. The option receiving the most votes will be put into a second vote for the league to approve or decline the addition of the rule at all.

Additional information:
In the unlikely event of a tie (this one already looks pretty one-sided), the tie will be broken by the commissioner to determine which option goes to the subsequent vote.

By a vote of 15-5, option 2 was chosen over option 1 to go into this follow-up vote: mlbbaseballleague.proboards.com/thread/5857/amend-player-arb-salary-calculationThe follow-up vote is now open. Additional note: I received one vote via PM from someone unable to access a web view to make the vote themselves. I didn't really know what to do with this, but fortunately no matter what I did the outcome is not impacted. This feels like a good point to state that, in future, any votes received in any other manner than via the polling functionality on the Proboards vote/poll itself will not be counted.
