Brewers Accept.  Thames adds to my menagerie of 1B platoon bat types. I'm hopeful this addition will solidify my 1B/Util options and get me a full complement of ABs from those positions for the season. There is a bit of risk that he goes back to Korea or something since he's an FA, but I'm willing to chance it to add his Power bat as I'm deficient in that area currently. I also needed a workout partner for Yandy Diaz. Oliver Perez just keeps on ticking and is a good bet to be a plus contributor in holds. I feel I have some good depth RP options, though, and am ok dealing from that depth to try to gain some power here.

Thanks Bill, Padres accept. I get some cheap holds and gain a little salary....win-wim for me. Thames is a nice power hitter, but $3 for a likely platoon bat was more than Idnlike to be on the hook for.
