Fantrax: Urena, Nelson, Andrade Dropped
Reason: With Jarrett Parker losing RF eligibility, I posted on my trade block that I was looking to trade for a solid RF. After talks with a few owners, I was drawn towards Lonnie and his current contract. In our format, Chisenhall comes in at 58th on the ESPN PR for RFs. That is a RF with a 1.03 PR who only played 82 games due to injury. He falls between Jose Bautista ($13M in this league) and Matt Olson ($0.5M) who was just almost traded for a haul of prospects. Given that Lonnie falls within that spectrum of players, is locked into $3M through 2019+, is returning to health for the season, and has a solid role on a playoff team, I think I am getting a great MLB player for just three prospects. Urena is the closest to the majors, but he is stuck behind a decent Toronto infield and will probably be traded before he gains a true starting role in the MLB. Even with his MLB debut struggles, I don't see Urena being the SS of the future for me. Especially with my odds of Vielma, Guerra, and Torres still in my system. Nelson and Andrade are both touted Team Top 30 prospects but have not played above A-ball yet and, while they are putting up solid production numbers, a lot can change before they make it. Lonnie on the other hand, has made it, has produced, and should see another 300AB season. On one last note, Chisenhall avoided arbitration with a $5.5M 1 year deal. If I can get him for less than the RL Indians, I think that is saying something right? ANTBOL
