Please answer the following questions:
Short questions:
1. What is your age?
38
2. What is your general location?
Central PA
3. What is your favorite MLB team?
Detroit Tigers
4. How did you find this league?
participate in another dynasty league with the Astros
5. What is your e-mail address?
gmandel7227@gmail.com
Medium Questions:
1. What experience do you have playing fantasy baseball?
Yahoo Keeper league for 12 years, Ottoneu 4yr, dynasty >1yr... I do not play DFS, not that it matters, but just for the record.
2. How often will you be available to be contacted by fellow owners in this league?
All day, every day, any day... literally made a trade just moments after my third child was born this past January, after negotiating thru the night while my wife was in labor... then swung a Harper for Rizzo($25) in Ottoneu later that after. Never without my phone, primarily to play fantasy baseball.
3. What kind of team would you be willing to take? (One that can compete immediately, soon, or a long term project?)
I'm not really a deep prospect guy... I don't mind taking over a project, as can be attested to my the disaster I inherited in another league... but do so with a focus on MLB or near MLB talent, and use prospects as a resource to get them ( similar to Dave Dombrowski and the MLB Tigers)
Longer questions:
1. This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be ok with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league?
Put it this way... I don't need to be in contention to be interested, but starting with a fresh roster and a new league... My goal is to compete and win immediately, not set up to win a few years down the road... however, at some point you have to know when its time to shift gears and look to the future.
2. Is there any other information you think we as a league should know in order to best determine your eligibility?
I would like to become the owner of the Detroit Tigers and have the opportunity to get in this league on the ground floor, and do my part to help it grow and develop into just an awesome, year round, fantasy baseball experience.
Please post links to any other leagues you participate in.
