Adam, if a player reaches 151 AB's during a season, does his base salary change from $.3 to $.5? And his status change from a 1st year player to a 2nd year player immediately?

No. Player salaries remain fixed for the entire year. Each off-season the contract gets updated. A player may have 149 ABs, and the entire following season still qualify as a $0.3 1st. It might be worth mentioning that the 150 ABs and 50 IP are cumulative. A player who has 50 ABs one season and 100 ABs the next will have his clock started, and be $0.5 2nd for the following season. Since these thresholds were simply copied from another league, one possible rule change that could be voted on at some point is to update this to match MLB's rookie status requirements (130 ABs). mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/about_mlb/rules_regulations.jsp
