Marlins Trade: SS Didi Gregorius (Yankees) $3.4 5th OF Alex Dickerson (Padres) $0.5 2nd Athletics Trade: LHP AJ Puk (Athletics) $0.3 1st www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=puk---000aj-OF Lazaro Armenteros (Athletics) $0.3 1st (unprotected) www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/07/athletics-expected-to-sign-lazaro-armenteros.htmlCap Change: Marlins: -$3.3 Athletics: +$3.6 Didi Gregorius was a great pickup for me last year and gave me great all around numbers. However, I'm banking on the Nationals moving Trea Turner to shortstop this year, which would put Didi out of a roster spot. Dickerson was also a great pickup and absolutely tore up triple A with an OPS over 1.000. He was also solid in his MLB debut hitting ten home runs and even stealing five bases. While I think he could be a great fantasy player, I don't know how much playing time he will get with the Padres, and with my crowded outfield I don't think he would get much playing time with me either. For this reason, I decided to continue with my offseason mission of rebuilding the farm system. Puk was the main piece of this deal for me and easily becomes my top prospect. He and has the talent to become a front line MLB starter if he can improve his control, and hopefully won't take to long to move up either. Armenteros is also a guy with a ton of upside, but as a 17 year old international free agent, the risk is just as high. Overall I'm glad to add both of these guys to my system and thank you Oakland for the deal.

I was in desperate need of a SS as Flores doesn't look to have eligibility there at least to begin the season, I am a big fan of Didi and he will no doubt be my guy for at least the 2 years of control I'll have over him. As for Dickerson, I think he could turn out to be a very solid OF. With eligibility at multiple OF positions, he becomes a valuable depth piece for me that could turn into a full timer depending on his real life playing time. I hate to move Puk but I needed to add these offense pieces to my team if I wish to have a fighting chance. Being just drafted I think he's a ways away from getting his shot at the bigs so I wasn't too upset moving him. I am only a few pieces away from I idling my offseason so thank you Miami and good luck.
