Hi Bill,
I’m sorry for the timing of the question.
Please understand this isn’t a criticism in any way. If anything it’s a compliment. There’s no problem. The question was in regards to the future. I honestly wasn’t thinking much about the other teams using this idea. I just know that I used it this year to good effect and am planning on leaning in even more heavily going forward. But before just assuming that my strategy was sound, I thought it best to ask the question of what is best for the league.
I gave half of my team to pick up Framber Valdez for 2024, but would gladly sacrifice that advantage if it improves the league.
Again, I’m so sorry if it came across as criticism or manipulation for personal advantage.

When this topic was originally broached, I did not anticipate that it might follow this path.
There is no benefit to continuing this discussion immediately, and I do not want to further detract from what I think has been the most successful year in league history. To draw a line under this for now, this thread will be locked.
Both the community spirit and the competitiveness of the league (from top to bottom) has never been better, and I want to focus without distraction on seeing how some of the most skilful owners and meticulously assembled rosters navigate what I expect to be the toughest playoff field we have seen.
This topic can be revisited at a more appropriate time.
